Again, I’m way behind on my blogging so here goes. I don’t even know where to begin so here goes. We had an amazing Christmas this year. We took the girls to sit on Santa’s lap at the mall, played in the snow on several occasions, Marlie and I baked a lot of christmas cookies, we all thoroughly enjoyed spending some time with the entire Price family in atlanta, went to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular at the Opry, saw the beautiful lights at Opryland Hotel, and had a great time watching the music city bowl with the Yates clan.
My family celebrated their first Christmas in Dixie. Annie was to fly to Egypt the day after Christmas from Nashville and Erika started a new job this fall and didn’t have many vacation days so the parents decided to celebrate in Nashville. We spent Christmas Eve with both our families. James’ wonderful parents graciously invited my family to spend the afternoon and join in on our Christmas Eve dinner. 
After dinner and dessert my family left and did their own Christmas Even tradition. The Price family carried on our tradition of opening all our Christmas presents to each other. The girls had a great time and got a lot of neat gifts. We had to quickly load up our car and head home because it was snowing!
After we got home we quickly changed into our pjs and got santa’s milk and cookies ready for him, carrots for the reindeer, and wrote our letter to santa. We ended the night ready our favorite, “The Night Before Christmas.” Both girls especially loved this book this year because of the reindeer. We went to bed with the ground completely white and the snow still coming down.
We woke up to a white Christmas! This was a very nice change for us. Marlie was very anxious to see if Santa managed to squeeze down our chimney to leave Lyla and her some presents. She got everything she asked for and more. Lyla even got her very own baby doll and bottles. They had so much fun opening all their gifts.
My family came over for brunch and more presents. My dad made his annual breakfast casserole that is so good! I had really missed eating that every Christmas morning. After brunch we had round 2 of gift opening. The girls again got a lot of great things including a bike for Marlie and a learning house for Lyla.
We ended the night by having James’ family come over to see the girls gifts and spend time with all of us. It continued to snow all day/night and everyone had a long trip back home. We are so thankful to have such wonderful families to enjoy the holiday’s with!!!
