1, 2, 3, Weee

Marlie was getting a bath tonight and out of the blue said, "1, 2, 3, weeeee". James and I were completely shocked!! She said it so clearly and then continued playing. Apparently, Annie & Erika say that when they are ready to swing her. They haven't done it in over 2 weeks so we're not sure what triggered her to say it. We tried to get her to say it on video but it wasn't near as clear as the first time she said it. Hopefully, she'll keep saying it!!

For those of you that don't know Jocelyn & Gretchen here's a little background info. Jocelyn & Gretchen taught together and then when Shayne Elementary opened they got recruited to go there and that's how we met. Gretchen & I taught kindergarten and Jocelyn taught 3rd. Gretchen & I were pregnant at the same time and had fun comparing notes every day. I was due on August 21 and she wasn't due until the middle of September. I guess Marlie & Elliott were anxious to meet each other because they were both born on August 18. Marlie arrived around 1pm and Elliott later that evening. Gretchen just gave birth to Emerson Lynn on October 30 and definitely has her hands full!! Marlie loves baby Emerson. Jocelyn had Ben 9 months ago and Marlie just loves him too!!

We love our play dates and have decided we need to do them at least once a month if not more, haha!!

We went on our usual fall trip to Gatlinburg 2 weeks ago. James' parents rent an awesome cabin in the mountains and we spend 3 days there. This year we took Marlie to the aquarium and she loved it!! We enjoyed sleeping in, eating waffles for breakfast, walking along the streets of Gatlinburg, looking at the Christmas lights, and spending time with the family.

Pray, Pray, Pray

I'm in total disbelief right now at how clueless the american population is. wow, i would have never guessed that so many people would buy into "change". yes, bush totally screwed up the past 4 years but do you honestly think obama will do a better job? think about it: he couldn't even be his own body guard, he's hiding his birth certificate (shady), and the list goes on and on and on and on.

get ready for another civil war when he tries to take guns away. i grew up in western pa and we are definitely a hunting town. every school in our county gets the first two days of school off for the first day of buck hunting season. i'd like to see obama TRY to take guns away from anyone in my town. hunting game is a hobby and there's nothing wrong with that.

so, i basically could keep going but i'm going to end it here. i truly believe we're in for a very rough 4 years. god knows what's best so we just have to continue to pray to him for guidance and protection. it's a very sad day for america...........it might just take a few years for everyone to realize it.
