Snow

While we were in PA visiting my family the weekend before Christmas we got a lot of snow.  We were so excited to see so much snow.  Marlie LOVED it!!  We went sled riding every day we were there and Marlie did not want to come back in the house.  Her face was bright red and snow suit soaked through and she still wanted to stay outside.  She had so much fun sledding, making snow angels, and eating the snow.  What great memories!!  We have a ton of picture to share so I’ll try and pick out my favorite ones but if you want to see more then check out my picasa photo site (link on the right side of the blog.)

Flower Girl

Marlie was a flower girl in my cousin, Ashleigh’s, wedding this past weekend.  We weren’t sure that she would walk down the aisle but she did a great job.  She loved her princess dress, her flower basket, and the other little flower girl.  Here are a few pictures of our sweet flower girl.

Santa

We took Marlie to sit on Santa’s lap and weren’t expecting very much.  Last year she wouldn’t get near him and we didn’t think she would again this year.  We were WRONG!!  She walked right up to him and immediately said, “Where’s rudolph?”  When Santa told her that he was in the North Pole with the other reindeer she then replied, “He’s playing with his friends.”  I’m not sure that Santa is use to a talker like Marlie, haha!!  After she told him that she wanted a train he said that he would tell his elves.  She said, “Your elves are going to make my train.”  After a very successful picture with Santa it was time to let the other kids take a turn.  Marlie was not happy about that!!  She cried and cried and we made several passes by him throughout that day so that should could wave.

On our way to Atlanta this weekend we stopped for breakfast at Chick Fil A.  Apparently they have free Santa pictures several mornings a week.  Marlie was so excited!!  She ran out of the food line and crawled right up onto his lap:)

Fall in a Nutshell

I’ve  been a blog slacker again so I’m going to try to hit the highlights of our fall.

We went on our annual Price trip to the Smokey Mountains.  The weather was beautiful and we had a great time with James’ family.  We had an intruder one night while we were all sleeping.  A bear cub pushed open the door (it was unlocked) and came right into the cabin.  He hate a lot of food in the kitchen and made quite a mess before leaving.  There were paw prints on the black counter top so we knew it was a cub.  Scary!!  20091108_5082a

20091108_505920091108_5107We had a very fun Sunday afternoon, jumping in a huge pile of leaves that Poppa Joe made for us:)  Marlie loved the big pile and I think we all had just as much fun!

IMG_3195 We spent over a week in PA for Thanksgiving.  Marlie loved Grammie’s new cat, Kay, and had to pet her everyday:)  Dad, Annie, James, and Marlie took their annual hike “over the river and through the woods to grandmas" on Thanksgiving day.  It was Dad & Annie’s 15th year, James’ 5th year, and Marlie’s 3rd year.  Marlie had a lot of fun playing with Kira & Reece throughout the week.  And we even got some snow on Black Friday.  Can’t do Christmas shopping without some snow!!
