Our Prize Piggy

Marlie loves Charlotte’s Web! So, when it was time to pick out her costume she picked the “wilbur” costume out of the magazine. I knew her costume wouldn’t be complete without Charlotte and her web so I made a web out of pipe cleaners and got a plastic halloween spider. She was very proud of her Charlotte:)

We went to a church trunk-or-treat last night and Marlie won 1st place in the toddler costume category! She’s 2 for 2:) Guess the pressure is really on for next year.

Pumpkin Patching

Last year we went to the pumpkin patch on October 11 and it was almost 90 degrees.  This year we went on October 10 and it was 55 degrees.  Crazy how this weather has been but we are loving the cool fall weather for a change.

We met our friends, the Fuquas, at the pumpkin patch and had a great time.  Marlie loved going through the hay maze, playing in the corn, taking a hay ride and seeing a lot of cows, and leading us through the corn maze.  When it was time to pick out our pumpkins Marlie only wanted a very small one that fit perfectly in her hand.  Anything else was TOO BIG!!  She did pick out 2 little pumpkins that were white and orange stripes.  She said that they looked like the football game, ha!!  Yes, James has her turned completely into a little Vols fan:)

Here are a few of my favorite photos from the day:

Rocky Top

We took Marlie to her 2nd Tennessee game in Knoxville on Saturday.  It was a 7:45 et kick off so it got pretty late but Marlie was a trooper.  The weather was a perfect fall day!!  We started out going to the Vol Walk to see the coaches and players walk down through the crowd to the stadium.  Marlie was a little scared of the band because they were so close to us and too loud.  After the Vol Walk we went to our usual spot to wait for the band to march down to the stadium.  Marlie especially liked this part and the cymbals were her favorite.  The stadium was electric and fired up to see the game get started.  We all enjoyed the team running through the T and the band.  Marlie watched the entire half time show and just loved every minute of it.  James and I took her out twice during the game to let her run around.  The second time we took her out she cried because she wanted to go back to the football game.  Marlie just loves the mascot, Smokey.  James got her a little Smokey dog and she danced with him and showed him the band and football:)  We’re so glad that she loves football as much as we do!!  Although the Vols lost we still had a great time!!  Here are some pictures from the highlights of our day.
