We finally got the “big” snow we’ve been waiting years for. It started coming down Friday morning and didn’t stop until Saturday morning. We totaled about 5 inches where we live and had sleet on top of that causing the roads to get very icy. We were “iced” in for 3 days but schools were closed for 5 (including the weekend).
Annie and her friend, Kyle, didn’t have classes on Friday so they headed over to our house before the roads were bad. They wanted to be snowed in with us instead of on campus. We had a lot of fun spending time together and cooking a lot of yummy food!! Katie and Clint have a house in the neighborhood beside us so they ventured over on Saturday to do some serious sled riding. We used cardboard, cookie pams sprayed with cooking oil, pool tubes, and laundry baskets. The bottom of the hill had a few thorn bushes and pine trees but no one was seriously hurt! Just a few bumps, scrapes, and pine needles in the back!!! Here a few of the highlights from our snow.
